The architecture of the new part of Tashkent and Baku: problems of common character and regional originality

Abstract

Main principles of the formation of new parts of Baku and Tashkent made up in the period of the XIX-early XX centuries are considered in the article. The similarity and distinctions of the planning development are revealed, urgent urban-planning phenomena and their specificity in the conditions of each region are analysed.
