M.A. Huseynov’s activities in architecture in 1960-80s.

Abstract

Academician M.A.Huseynov’s innovative line of creativity mainly falls to 1960 and 1980s. It was during these years that as a result of the author’s fruitful activities the architecture in Baku was enriched with new buildings and the city acquired a peculiar appearance. During these years when he created new simple and effective ways in architecture using the latest technology.
It is because of Huseynov’s unique approach that the public buildings created a unique kind of image of Baku in those years. Among the most important creations of the aforementioned period are the metro, post ofice and three major hotels including “Moscow”, “Azerbaijan” and “Absheron”. Unfortunately, those were later demolished.
