Abstract

Sarvantepe settlement is in the village Chayli Kazakh district. This monument is located on the left of the highway of Kazakh-Askipara stretches north-south. The total area is approximately the same 1.5-2 ha. In the period 2009-2014 Kazakh archaeological expedition held regular archaeological excavations in the monument. During this time, was studied cultural layer with a thickness of 1.8 meters on the excavation of the total area of 200 m2 , systematized and materials removed stratigraphic dimensions. Significant group of artifacts found at the settlement during an archaeological dig up stone products. Stone products consist mainly of grain grinders, guns, scraper, mortar and pestle, cutting tools made of obsidian. Some very small pestle and split apart. Their pistils consist mainly of gray cobblestones. Pestles used in the hustle and threshing selected and are mostly made in accordance with the size of mortars. Some mortar made of porous tuff. Wine press are among the most frequently detected archaeological materials. Both sides sharpeners oblong well wiped and processed. Wine press meet both large and small size. Throwing stones across very rarely. Small amount of throwing stones figure rarely use these stones during hunting. A significant portion of grain grinders made of cobblestones. All they can say in a split form and repeat each other in form and content. All graters have scaphoid shape. The upper same graters one side flat and the other convex. At the excavation site found many weights stones. There is no doubt long-term use of these stones in the home. Surface they are well ironed. Most are traces of processing. Tools, made of obsidian also scarce. Obsidian black stones have simple shapes and small volumes. Cutting tools made of obsidian very small in size and consist principally of fragments. These fragments, made of transparent obsidian black basically three and multifaceted one side they have a well-established for cutting. Ends arrowheads of obsidian shards are very sharp. Scrapers and also have an elongated oval shape. Most of them are observed traces of processing. These stone tools found at the settlement Sarvantepe are important for the study of the ancient inhabitants of farming Ganja-Kazakh region.
