ABOUT ETHNICAL PECULIARITIES OF MODERN URBAN HOUSES (BASED UPON THE MATERIALS OF TOWN SUMGAIT)

Abstract

This article attempts to study some ethnical peculiarities of modern urban dwelling on the example of town Sumgait. Tangible
culture, as one of structural elements of the traditional culture of ethos, loses its ethnicity under the influence of globalization. At the same time, numerous studies demonstrate that the ethnicity of tangible culture does not disappear fully, but is only displayed in the system of meanings, symbols. Despite the standardized exterior of the modern urban dwellings, local, ethnic specificity is evident in their interior and color gamma.
