Abstract

The medieval settlement Amirarkh located in the village of Agdash region Amirarkh on sown areas of rural residents. It was revealed during the expansion of the gas pipeline project South Caucasus wire, is a new infrastructure project (SCPX). This monument was revealed on 182 km. pipeline route before the start of construction works on the territory of the monument were carried out urgent archaeological excavations. Among the hundreds of samples of artefacts during the excavation of an important place occupied by fragments of pottery. Among the ornaments of the dishes made mainly quality and high craftsmanship, particularly stood out shards of glazed pottery such as vases, plates and bowls. The surface of glazed pottery ornamented with multi coloured, floral and geometric patterns, indicating a high artistic taste of the masters - manufacturers of utensils. Excavations in the settlement Amirarkh prove the existence here during the period of settlement of rural type. The nature of the cultural layer, and identified the remains of material culture point to the monument belongs to the settlements of rural type with a simple layout and a wide portion.
