THE HOLI TURENG IN ALBANIAN APOSTAL CHURCH

Abstract

The present article devotes the tradition of worshiping sacred relics in the Albanian Apostolic сhurch. Worship sacred relics appeared in the apostolic period among the Albanian christian population and remained until the end of XIX. In 1836, the decree of the Russian emperor Nicholas I Albanian catholicosate was liquidated, all the Albanian christian churches were subordinated to the Armenian Echmiadzin church and as a result of its religious policy began to ruin. After gaining the independence, the Republic of Azerbaijan, faithful to its centuries-old traditions of tolerance began to recover the Albanian heritage, Albanian temples, which are an integral part of the Azerbaijani ethnocultural heritage. In the article all the problems above have been investigated.
