PUBLIC ORGANIZATIONS OF THE COMMUNITY OF ASHKENAZI JEWS

Abstract

The article describes participation of residing in the territory of Azerbaijan ashkenazi jews in the sociopolitical life of the country,
history of social organizations created by them. It highlights the transformation of Baku city in the center of the jewish national movement since the late XIX century. The scope of work of organizations that existed during the period prior to the date have been considered in detail. Constant caring attitude from the leadership of the Azerbaijan Republic was also emphasized and this positive attitude has been proven by listing specific facts.
