The present article explores some aspects of the history of the Albanian postolic ɫhurch of the 17th-19th centuries, in the period under study, against the backdrop of political events taking place on the territory of historical Northern Azerbaijan, those South-Eastern part of the South Caucasus, in the specified period. After the collapse of the Safavid state, under conditions of feudal strife between the emergent khanates for the prevailing political dominance in the region, the Albanian Catholicosate also suffered internal strife and division. In the end, this is the beginning of the XIX century led to its weakening, inability to withstand geopolitical changes and the loss of independence, autocephalousness.
