Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of interior decoration of traditional life reflecting ethnic specificity as one of the spheres of material culture. The author attempts to answer some issues on the specific features of the interior decoration and courtyards of dwelling houses in Baku at the end of the XIX – the beginning of the XX centuries, we can state that ethnic features reflected on the housing environment are perceived by modern people as the symbols of ethnicity
