Abstract

Medieval written soources gave us an opportunity to investigate towers and fotrifications of Shirvan. Different written sources like as arabic, persian, turkic, European and Russian gave important information about medieval fortifications of Shirvan. Archaeological excavations prove more infornation which had been gave in written sources.
