ETHNOSOCIOLOGICAL RESEARCHES IN AZERBAIJAN: A MODERN CONDITION AND PROSPECTS

Abstract

The article examines stages of establishment of ethnical sociology in Azerbaijan and analyses Azerbaijani scholars’ studies in this field. These studies covered a relatively broad subject field of the ethnical sociology. The ethnical sociological studies focused at issues, such like peculiarities of ethnical-social and ethnical-cultural changes in separate strata of the community, ethnical peculiarities of formation of urban population, ethnical-cultural rural processes, tendencies in the use of languages in different ethnical groups and processes of formation of national self-consciousness.
