Abstract

Today, without inclusion of archaeologic and ethnographic resources in national and global information networks, original development of an archeological science it is unreal. As an example for discussion and decision-making on expediency of application of mathematical methods (MM) at the decision of a concrete archaeological problem is offered the program which methodological basis is the approach to MM as to methods of mathematical modeling, i.e. to methods of simplification of the phenomena and processes, too complex for direct perception their human reason. As well as any simplification, mathematical modeling conducts to loss of a part of the information that limits its opportunities, but allows the researcher to study the phenomena and processes inaccessible or insufficiently cogitable in other conditions. Prospects of information of archaeological researches cover three programs.

I. Support and development of the information environment of Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography.

II. The Distributed databases and hypertext information systems (HIS) in archaeological researches.

III. Mathematical data processing.

As a result of use of new information technologies the new type of research activity and thinking in archeology which is characterized by the big accuracy, is formed by logicality, analyticity and constructability.
