Abstract

Araz and Kura rivers valleys in Azerbaijan were fertile for development in Eneolith-ic period and that is why these areas were settled by the ancient people.People left Kultepe I and Ovchulartepe settlement in Nakhichevan at a certain stage of Eneolithic period. But this process did not happen at the same time. At Ovchular tepe people settled in the Late Enenolithic period (Vmill.B.C.-IV mill.B.C.) and later they left those areas. May be people who had sedentary life migrated to the plains of Azerbaijan like Khalaj, Arabyengija, Shortepe, Asagi Dasharkh, etc.
