The works of oral folk literature which are among the oldest examples of the cultural heritage of Turkic peoples, have significantly served for the development of all-Turkic literature. Samples of folklore, including myths, epics, have been a unique source of historical roots, good ideas and high ideals of humanity for centuries. In oral folklore, each nation’s dreams and aspirations, ways of thinking, national lifestyle, and worldview have found expression.
Therefore, in today’s era of globalization, folklore literature is proving to be more relevant than ever in a complex situation where various spiritual and ideological threats and the negative influence of “mass culture” are increasingly strong. Therefore, it is necessary to study folklore, which is the source of national culture, and to study its influence and synthesis on modern literature. This process shows the importance of the national-cultural views, wisdom, and spiritual heritage of the Turkic peoples of each nation. Researches of Uzbek literature in this direction show that the influence of folklore works on Uzbek literature is significant. Especially in the following years, one of the distinctive features of Uzbek prose works is the attempt to understand the world by means of mythological views and mythopoetic forms. Studying the works from this point of view makes it possible to assess the impact of the folklore of the Turkic peoples on the written literature, to determine the specific characteristics of Uzbek literature and the principles of development. It also involves drawing new scientific-theoretical conclusions on a number of issues such as the artistry, creative concept and style of certain creative works.
