Abstract

The tragedy “Iblis”, a literary work of the era of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which occupied a special place in the work of Huseyn Javid, is the subject of analysis in the article. Here the theme and ideological and aesthetic aspects of drama are studied, and the work itself is evaluated against the background of socio-political problems of the period of its creation. The place and position of the work in the oeuvre of Huseyn Javid and in the Azerbaijani dramaturgy as a whole are determined in the process of analysis, his inspiring philosophical worldview is explained from different points of view.
