Theme and ideological direction of Kazakh Poet's lyrics Magzhan Zhuma-baev
Abstract
The article examines the themes and ideas of the lyrics of the famous Kazakh poet Magzhan Zhumabaev, who made an invaluable contribution to the awakening of the national consciousness of the Kazakh people in the early twentieth century. In his poems on love of country and nation, as well as in his socio-political works, the poet always kept the idea of calling for national unity in the forefront, expressed confidence in the re-existence of the Turan Union, and called Turkestan a homeland, a nation of Turkic origin and brotherhood. The presented article also focuses on the poems in which the poet's nationalist sentiments come to the fore, and the analysis is based on examples from the poet's poems translated into Azerbaijani and Turkish.
