Abstract

In the famous "Divan" of the esteemed XI century Turkic scientist Mahmud Kashgarly, the field of onomastics is extensively explored. A significant proportion of these on-omastic units comprise anthroponyms. The examination of the personal names inscribed on the monument is of significant value for a comprehensive investigation of the history of Turkic languages, their onomastics and the ancient Turkic name system. The monument provides valuable insight into the customs, beliefs, personal names, nicknames, and titles of the people depicted, as well as the unique ways in which these elements were represented. In general, this encyclopedic work comprises the processing of up to 100 anthroponym-ic units, of which 7–8 are female names. It is important to note that although the 110 anthroponyms do not fully encompass the ancient Turkic name system, they still provide insight into its structure and characteristics. The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the lexical and semantic groups of ancient Turkic personal names depicted on the monument, offering insights that warrant careful examination.
