The role of actor schools in the development of Azerbaijan theatre

Abstract

Since the time of its appearance Azerbaijan theatre having 140-­year rich history has been functioning as an actor theatre. Actor schools existing in the national theatres can conditionally be divided into three parts. They are romantic, realistic and intellectual actor schools. From the very beginning realistic and romantic schools were created and developed together. Realistic and romantic actor schools have played an important role in the development of the national theatre and led to the creation of the intellectual actor school.
