Historical themes in the course of the first decade of sovereignty on Azerbaijan stage

Abstract

In the article there is spoken about plays on historical themes put on the stage of Azerbaijan theatre in the course of the first decade of sovereignty. There is stated a material about performances of plays “The ruler and his daughter” by Ilyas Efendiyev, “Atabayovs”, “Pompey’s raid to the Caucasus” by Nariman Hasanzade, “Shahids”, “The sword cutting off ourselves” “The gibbet” by Bakhtiyar Vahabzade. Information about staging of performances, decoration of scenes, about music and acting mastery is given too.
