On the history of the architecture of theatre buildings in Azerbaijan

Abstract

At the beginning of the XIX century in the period of imperial governiment as a result of the policy of colonial administration Azerbaijan became a part of Russia. In connection with political situation there happened radical changes in the construction of architectural buildings and structures. There appeared new types of buildings – banks, passages, municipal duma, railway station buildings, theatres. They were included in the volumetric­spatial environment of Baku.
