Bases of musical turkology

Abstract

Comparative and typological analysis is the very supporting scheme, which allows to involve the different levels of national musical cultures actively into the analysis process. Certainly there is a right for existence of the differently directed researches of Turkic cultural world. But, when speaking about musical Turkology, as a part of comparative musicology, in our opinion, the initial, basic element in the learning of this phenomenon is the comparative typological analysis. To my opinion, the most actual, at the same time complicated problem of Azerbaijani musicology is the studying problem of Turkic roots of national musical culture. It is important to emphasize that, establishment of musical connections of Turkic peoples and the explanation of the genetic basis of these connections promote not only formation of the idea about wholeness and solidity of Turkic musical system, but also allow to characterize its separate components completely.
