Academician Zemira Safarova and her role in studying and propagating genius Uzeir Hajibeyli’s heritage

Abstract

In the musical science of Azerbaijan at the present stage one of the leading places rightfully belongs to academician Z.Y.Safarova. The scientiic capital amazes with the number of published works, differs in a wide range of developed problems, the temporary coverage of the phenomena of musical art, the novelty and perfection of creative solutions. At the same time the “leitmotif “ of scholar-musicologist’s creativity can be considered a heritage of the great Uzeir Hajibeyli (1885-1948), whose personality is revealed in Z.Safarova’s works in all unique versatility. This aspect determines the range of the problems of the article by R.Abbasova, aimed at deining Z.Safarova’s role in studying and propagating Uzeir Hajibeyli’s heritage.
