Bulbul phenomenon in the culture of Azerbaijan

Abstract

The great Azerbaijani opera singer, People’s Artist of the USSR, Laureate of State Prize, Professor Bulbul (MurtuzaRzaoghluMammadov) devoted the whole life to serving his people. He played a major role in the development of national culture as a great opera singer. But at the same time, he was an excellent musicologist and folklorist, pedagogue, public igure, author of numerous papers, introductions, scientiic reports.
