When studying the oil and gas potential of the field, it is important to study its geological and geophysical characteristics, as well as study its collector and petrophysical properties to evaluate its productivity. In this connection, based on the results of the analysis of 142 core samples taken from 37 exploration wells drilled in the Kirmaki (QD) and Kirmaki (QA) formations of the Pirallahi field, the petrophysical parameters of the rocks and their boundary values for the separation of collectors were determined. The research results showed that the boundary values between collectors and non-collectors correspond to 10% for porosity, 10 mD for permeability, 48% for clay content and 20% for carbonation. Thus, despite the long-term development of the studied field, the analysis of its actual geological-geophysical data, comparative analyses of the main reservoir parameters and boundary values show that the reservoir properties of the productive layer sediments of the field, especially the Kir-mak and Kirmak sub-layers in its lower section, are high and are of practical importance for industrially significant oil and gas accumulations.
