        Abstract

In this review article, the current advances in the synthesis and polymerization of (meth)acrylate monomers are comprehensively analyzed, with a particular focus on their industrial relevance and future development trends. Special attention is devoted to conventional and modern methods for producing (meth)acrylates, including esterification, transesterification, and condensation reactions carried out in the presence of homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts. The advantages and limitations of these methods are discussed in terms of reaction efficiency, selectivity, environmental impact, and economic feasibility. Furthermore, recent developments in polymerization techniques are examined, such as conventional radical polymerization as well as controlled/living radical methods including RAFT, ATRP, and SET-LRP, along with photopolymerization processes initiated by visible light. The influence of these techniques on molecular architecture, thermal behavior, and mechanical properties of the resulting polymers is highlighted. The applications of poly(meth)acrylates in coatings, adhesives, nanocomposites, biomedical systems, and advanced functional materials are also reviewed. Emphasis is placed on the growing importance of sustainable and green chemistry approaches, including the use of renewable raw materials and energy-efficient technologies. Overall, this review demonstrates that the integration of innovative synthesis routes and advanced polymerization methods plays a key role in expanding the potential of (meth)acrylate-based materials.
