The topic under study is considered very relevant today. For this purpose, the study aims to explain the weakening of the political power of the state in the period of globalization in a theoretical and empirical context. The main goal of the study is to determine the mechanisms of globalizati-on affecting the political power of the state. In addition, it is to explain the reasons for the emergence of new power centers in the period of globalization and their relationship with the legitimacy base of the state. For this purpose, the following scientific tasks are defined: Explain the theoretical foundations of the concepts of globalization and political power, iden-tify the main global processes that lead to the weakening of the political power of the state, examine the growing role of transnational actors (corporations, international organizations, NGOs, media, etc.) in the system of political power, evaluate the adaptation mechanisms of the political power of the state and new forms of governance. The scientific hypothesis of the article is that the globalization process does not completely abolish the political power of the state. Globalization changes the structural and functional boundaries of political power, causing power to acquire a multi-centered character. The scientific significance of the article is that the study examines the impact of globalization on the political power of the state not only in economic and legal aspects, but also from the perspective of political theory, ideology and power relations. In this regard, a new analytical framework is presented regarding the transformation of the political power of the state in the modern era. Methodologically, the study is based on a synthesis of structural-functional, historical-comparative and analytical approaches, which allows us to analyze the political power of the state not only as the activity of institutions, but also in the system of social relations, ideological and information asymmetries. Thus, the study exa-mines the impact of globalization and transnationalization processes on the political power of the state as a multidimensional phenomenon. The article aims to contribute to the classical concept of sovereignty, as well as to modern theories of global politics.
