The article is devoted to the creative activity of the “Libra” art group, a brief-lived yet con-ceptually significant phenomenon in contemporary Azerbaijani visual art. The main object of study is the group’s only realized project the exhibition titled “5 Rooms.” The article analyzes the concept of “balance” (libra), which forms the conceptual basis of the group, as an artistic philosophical cate-gory, and examines manifestations of visual balance at the levels of form, space, and perception. The main sources include the curator’s text written by art historian Dilara Vahabova for the exhibi-tion catalog, media resources, and retrospective interviews with the artists; formal, stylistic, and an-alytical approaches were applied. The study concludes that the “Libra” art group represents an intel-lectual model of collective creativity in contemporary Azerbaijani art.
