HUSEYN HASHIMLI'S SERVICES IN MAGAZINES PUBLISHED IN THEEARLY 20TH CENTURY

Abstract

The history of the Azerbaijani press is an integral part of the process of national enlighten-ment and literary and cultural revival. Thanks to systematic research conducted in this field, many press organs have entered scientific circulation and have been brought to the attention of modern re-searchers. In this context, the services of Huseyn Hashimli are particularly distinguished. The article discusses the activities and services of Professor Huseyn Hashimli, one of the representatives of the Azerbaijani literary school, in the satirical magazine “Sheypur”, the enlightening magazine “Mek-tab”, and the magazines “Yeni fuyuzat”, published at the beginning of the 20th century. The article examines the services of Professor Huseyn in the restoration, analysis and introduction of these ma-gazines to the modern literary environment for the first time in Azerbaijani literary studies. Huseyn Hashimli summarized the artistic style of these press organs and the main merits of the examples gi-ven in various issues from a scientific and literary point of view and came to the appropriate conclu-sion.
