In the article, in order to assess the wind regime and the natural potential of wind energy in the coastal zone of the Absheron Peninsula, which is quite promising in terms of wind energy pro-duction, the wind speed-direction and wind power data were analyzed at 4 selected points in the study area. During the observation period covering 2001-2024, the average multi-year wind speed values and standard deviations were calculated for each point. The average annual and monthly in-dicators of wind speed and power, and the dynamics of their change over time were determined. At the same time, a map of the distribution of wind speed over the area and wind rose graphs for the selected points were compiled. The study showed that the wind regime is fairly well approximated by the Weibull distribution. Based on the parameters of this distribution, the capacity factor for two types of wind turbines was calculated and the achievable energy production was estimated.
