EXPLORATION OF THE APPLICATION FIELDS OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY IN SOCIAL WORK

Abstract

With the rapid advancement of the information age and the rapid development of digital tech- nologies, digital technologies have deeply penetrated all areas of society and are playing an increa- singly important and irreplaceable role in social work. This paper uses a literature review approach, along with detailed field research, professional case interviews, and big data quantitative analysis, to comprehensively and in-depth analyze the differentiated application of digital technologies in va- rious sub-sectors of social work. The study not only focuses on the innovative application of digital technologies in traditional social work fields such as community services, social assistance, and psychological counseling, but also explores their practical value in emerging contexts such as crisis intervention and remote services. Furthermore, this paper selects representative real-world cases for in-depth analysis, objectively demonstrating the multi-dimensional challenges facing the current application of digital technologies, including technical barriers, ethical dilemmas, and the digital di- vide. Constructive improvement suggestions are proposed from multiple perspectives, including po- licy support, talent development, and technology optimization. This provides solid theoretical sup- port and practical guidance for social workers to more effectively and systematically utilize digital technologies in the context of digital transformation.
