    Abstract

The works of Isa Muganna, the outsanding representative of Azerbaijan Literature of XX century, are devided into two period. The period before the “Ideal” and the period in the “Ideal”. In other words, the periods of work of Isa Huseynov and Isa Muganna. In the [period of work before the “Ideal” the writer focused more attention on the destiny of nations, the way of life and the postwar period. But in the period, that is starting with the “Ideal” the author brought to the forefront the human ideas and problems. Basically, such matters as national consciousness and self-cognition took pride of place in the author’s works in all times. The difference between an authobiography and autobiographism as well as the information about authobiographical works of the World and Azerbaijan Literature was given in the beginning of the article. As it is known an authobiographism is a unity of events from the real life of an author with literary imagination. But an authobiography is the description of the real life of an author. In most cases there is no any literary imagination. In the course of researches it was found out that Zalimkhan’s character in the novel “Tragedy” reflects some elements of the author’s character. The writer transferred some moments of the fate of his father, Mustafa Huseynov, as well as his own fate to Zalimkhan’s character in the novel “Tragedy”. Thus, Muganna created two autobiographical character in one person. The novel “Tragedy” reflects all shortcomings of that time, rightlessness of the people and their unequality. The character of Heybat Heybatov in the novel “Caravan of the Life” has all elements of the author’s character, however, this character is not completely identical with the author’s character. There is some associativity both in the author’s professional activity and Heybat. In general, the autobiographical characters prevail in the fiction literature of Isa Muganna. The author tries to overcome the censorship and restrictions, established by Soviet Government for the literature in his authobiographies and achieves this goual in certain sense.
