      Abstract

As a result of the study, 136 species belonging to 14 orders, 34 families, 61 genera were identified for the lichen flora of Astara region. Of them, 3 families (Megasporaceae, Naetrocymbaceae, Vahliellaceae), 10 genera (Athallia, Enterographa, Flavopunctelia, Gyalolechia, Melanelixia, Melanohalea, Naetrocymbe, Polycauliona, Rusavskia), Scytinium and 12 species (Anaptychia setifera (Mereschk.) Räsän., Athallia holocarpa (Hoffm. ) Arup, Fröden et Søchting, Candelariella aurella (Hoffm.) Zahlbr, Cladonia foliacea (Huds.) Willd., Chrysothrix candelaris (L.) J.R. Laundon, Collema flaccidum (Ach.) Ach., Flavopunctelia flaventior (Stirt.) Hale , Parmelia sulcata Taylor, Lecanora frustulosa (Dicks.) Ach., Lecanora chlarotera Nyl., Graphis scripta (L.) Ach., Physcia stellaris (L .) Nyl.) are new for the lichen flora of the studied territory. Parmeliaceae (19), Physciaceae (18), Ramalinaceae (11), Cladoniaceae (10), Collemataceae (7), Lecanoraceae (7), Peltigeraceae (5), Pertusariaceae (5) and Teloschistaceae (5) are the leading families in terms of the number of species in the study area.
