        Abstract

Analyzes of the characteristics and quantity of the investigated heavy Surakhani oil and its hydrocarbon components were studied with high sensitivity and comprehensively using modern spectral methods. The intensity of luminescence maxima in the spectral range >600 nm in components is weaker than the intensity of the main fluorescence maxima. These bands can be attributed to the phosphorescence of PAH. Phosphorescence of PAH molecules is characterized by the transition from the zeroth oscillation half-level of the lower triplet level to different oscillation half-levels of the ground S0 state, the structure of the phosphorescence spectrum, like the structure of the fluorescence spectrum, is determined by the frequency of normal oscillations of the molecule
in the ground electronic state. The less energy barrier between the lower triplet level and S0 the more intense the phosphorescence.
