For the first time in the article Leucaena leucocephala (Lam.) De Wit., Leucaena pulverulenta (Schltdl.) Benth. on a scientific basis, the bioecological features of the species, the seasonal rhythm of development, heat and drought resistance, and prospects were studied. Leucaena Benth. seeds of species belonging to the genus were obtained as a result of exchange from the Central Botanical Garden of Centro di Ateneo Orto Botanica Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). For the first time Leucaena leucocephala (Lam.) De Wit. and Leucaena pulverulenta (Schltdl.) Benth. seeds of the species were introduced in Absheron. Propagation of Leucaena species by seeds to obtain planting material has given positive results. The study was carried out on old samples of the species Leucaena leucocephala (Lam.) De Wit. and Leucaena pulverulenta (Schltdl.) Benth. Leucaena Benth, studied by us species in agriculture, landscaping and the use of soil cover highlights them as promising species. Adaptation to environmental changes, drought resistance and even forest fires, the ability of Absheron to completely complete its development cycle in a dry subtropical climate, it can be estimated at 87 and 73 points on the "prospective scale" of E. O. Iskanderov. Seasonal development in Leucaena species starts from the II-III decade of March and continues until the II decade of November. Leucaena leucocephala (Lam.) De Wit. and Leucaena pulverulenta (Schltdl.) Benth. the main development in the species occurs between June and September. Depending
on the year, the development of the plant continues until the 2nd-3rd decade of September. Approximately plants grow for 250 ±5, 236+7 days. The height of the plant is 3-3.5 meters in 3-4 years, the diameter of the trunk is 14-16 cm, the length of the side branches is 85-90 cm. It bears fruit from 4-5 years of age. The plant grows quite quickly. Leucaena Benth. species are light-loving, not demanding on land. The heat should be at a moderate level, it is cold-tolerant in winter, it can tolerate moderate salinity.
