ASSESSMENT OF THE IMPACT OF MIGRATION ON THE SOCIO-ECONOMIC CONDITIONS OF THE POPULATION RESIDING IN URBAN SETTLEMENTS IN THE GUBA-KHACHMAZ ECONOMIC REGION

Abstract

In the article, the coefficient of efficiency of migration was calculated for urban areas in the Guba-Khachmaz economic region during the years 2000-2021. Guba-Khachmaz economic region differs according to the level of socio-economic development, favorable natural-geographical conditions, labor resources, tourism and recreation opportunities. In the presented article, the efficiency ratio of the migration of Gusar, Khachmaz, Guba, Shabran and Siyazan administrative regions included in the economic region is compared based on the attractiveness of the area. Calculations were made and it was determined that in which administrative district the efficiency coefficient of migration is high, that area is considered attractive for working-age migrants. Also, if comprehensive support for the development of the economy in the economic region is increased, it will prevent the migration of labor resources by having a positive effect on the socio-economic conditions and living standards of the population.
