CHOOSING A SOFTWARE PACKAGE FOR CARRYING OUT GPS OBSERVATIONS AND PROCESSING MEASUREMENT RESULTS, EVALUATING THE RESULTS

Abstract

The success of a GPS project is directly related to the education and knowledge level of the personnel implementing the project. Education and knowledge level of personnel; this includes preparing and using the receiver for observation, selecting a location, completing observation reports, and responding to unplanned contingencies. If all the preparations and activities to be done before the observation are carried out with sensitivity, there are no problems except in special exceptional cases. It is possible to classify the software used in the evaluation of GPS measurements in different ways. After the checks briefly described so far are completed, network balancing is performed. Thus, the balancing results of the network, which are free from gross errors or, if necessary, after repeated measurements, do not have much meaning in practice. This issue is especially important in countries like Azerbaijan where the country date and GPS datums are different.
