CURRENT STATE AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE SECURITIES MARKET

Abstract

Securities are one of the main attributes of the market economy. As the market economy expands, the circulation of securities increases. Currently, the securities market is considered one of the most important sources of financing the economy, along with the state budget and the banking sector. A security is a special type of commodity that circulates in its own market - the securities market. However, it has neither property nor monetary consumption value. Rather, it is neither a physical commodity nor a service. The article analyzes the formation and development of the securities market in the Republic of Azerbaijan, the trends of investment in the republic's economy, including portfolio investments, and its main characteristics. Also, the current situation and development process of the stock market, the trends of placement of securities are evaluated. The main factors affecting the development of the securities market are identified in the article.
