Industrially important oil and gas accumulations in the Pirsaat field are mainly attributed to the upper sandy horizons of the Productive Layer. In order to fully study the oil and gas prospects of the lower section of the Productive Layer and to determine the effective directions of exploration, the lithologically generalized geological-geophysical section of the field was specified using the data of wells drilled in the Pirsaat field. The seismological profile of the Pirsaat field was established using the data of the conducted two-dimensional (2D) seismic works and drilled wells, and the structure map constructed according to the roof of the VII sub-horizon was updated. Using the preliminary test results of the drilled wells, an oil-gas-water contour was determined and a calculation plan was prepared, and depending on the result, the prospective resources were estimated in the C1 category for the VII sub-horizon, and in the C3 category for the PK. It was determined that the oil and gas-condensate deposits found in the sub-horizons of the Pirsaat area mainly belong to tectonic screened and lithological type deposits. Also, justification of the efficient orientation of search-exploration works for sub-horizons of the productive layer in the Pirsaat field was made.
