ENVIRONMENTAL FUNDS AS THE MAIN SOURCES OF FINANCING OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAMS

Abstract

Environmental programs are a system of programs covering environmental protection, improvement of the ecological situation, maintenance of ecological balance and rational use of natural resources. Environmental programs implemented in various regions of our republic purposefully and essentially serve to improve the standard of living of the population, develop the country's economy, improve environmental conditions, and rational use of natural resources. Environmental funds are the main source of funding for programs aimed at countering the disruption of the ecological balance. The appointment of environmental funds and the use of the Fund's funds are carried out in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Environmental Protection” dated March 5, 2004. The increased attention to the implementation of state environmental programs adopted in recent years in Azerbaijan, the signing of relevant orders in order to more effectively solve existing environmental problems indicates the priority of this area in the country
