THE ROLE OF THE AZERBAIJAN CARTOONISTS UNION IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF AZERBAIJANI CARICATURE ART

Abstract

In article, the steps taken by the Union of Cartoonists of Azerbaijan in the direction of the development, recognition and promotion of the art of Azerbaijani caricature in the international world, as well as the international caricature competitions, exhibitions and festivals organized by this public union, are discussed. The successes of the artists participating in the international caricature competitions organized by the Public Union of Azerbaijan Caricaturists, as well as the achievements and awards of our artists in the international caricature competitions and festivals organized in different countries are shown in sequence, the development prospects of modern caricature and its commitment to national traditions are reflected in the drawings of our caricaturists-artists, the wealth of conventional and logical means of expression, metaphor, grotesque, satire and humor are approached in terms of modern requirements. In the article, the scientific methodical tools, albums and magazines published by the initiative and organization of the Union of Azerbaijan Caricaturists, the multifaceted creativity of the artists published in these publications, the caricatures they developed in different periods, and the satirical drawings on various topics are comparatively analyzed.
