The argyrodite family compounds and their phases based on them, are environmentally friendly valuable functional materials that exhibit a range of functional properties such as thermoelectric, photoelectric, optical, etc. Moreover, they possess Cu+
and Ag+ ion conductivity and can be used as electrodes or electrolyte materials for ion-selective electrodes, various types of electric batteries, displays, sensors, etc. In this work, the phase equilibria in the Cu8GeS6 - Ag8GeSe6 system were studied using DTA and XRD methods. It has been determined that at room temperature, the homogeneity range of the δ-phase covers the composition interval of 40-80 mol % Ag8GeS6. In the 34-66 mol % Ag8GeS6 composition range, the δ-phase can be characterized as a high-entropy phase.
