The tourism sector occupies a special place in the economic development of countries worldwide. Tourism revenues have a positive impact on the economic growth of various states. The development of the creative economy in Azerbaijan is one of the priority tasks. Along with other sectors, the formation of the creative economy is closely linked to the development of the tourism sector. In turn, the rational use of tourism potential, along with other industries, is directly connected to the activities of museums in accordance with modern requirements. It is well known that tourists visiting different cities, along with other attractions, also go to museums operating in these cities. The expansion of museum functions, the active participation of these institutions in the life of modern societies, and their direct involvement in both the accumulation and creation of knowledge create extensive opportunities for close interaction between museums and creative industries. The establishment of new museums has historically proven its value and remains relevant and justified both in terms of tourism and economic development and in conveying the truth about Azerbaijan to the global community. The development of the museum network in the republic, the widespread use of modern technologies in the activities of museums, the implementation of projects aimed at educating people, providing cultural leisure, and at the same time generating additional income-all these issues are becoming increasingly important.
