This study examines the similarities between the Kars Qarapapaq minstrels and Azerbaijan in terms of ethnic origin, language, and culture, as well as the Qarapapaq minstrel tradition that developed under the influence of the Aşık Şenlik school. The research includes an analysis of the frequency of the modes used by the Qarapapaq ethnic group who migrated from Azerbaijan to Kars. In the study, the works performed by the minstrels were transcribed, the modes used were identified, and the frequency of their usage was evaluated with numerical data, using excerpts from the examples. By analyzing the modes of 13 works used by the Kars Qarapapaq minstrels, the study determined the frequency of each series. The findings reveal the interaction between the musical culture of the Qarapapaq minstrels and Azerbaijani folk music, as well as their integration into Turkish music. This research provides an important resource for understanding the role of musical and cultural interactions in historical processes and the evolution of local musical traditions.
