About the Journal

Scientific-theoretical journal titled "Problems of Oriental Philosophy" had been founded by the presidium in Azerbaijan National Academy of Science and Editorial Board of journal. It had been registered with the number 108 in the official registry of the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Azerbaijan on 02.04.1996. Zumrud Guluzada - Doctor of Philosophy, Honored Scientist was the editor-in-chief of scientific-theoretical journal titled "Problems of Oriental Philosophy" from the date of its establishment until 2021. Solmaz Rzaguluzada - Doctor of Philosophy in Philosophy was the Deputy Editor-in-Chief. Scientific-theoretical journal titled "Problems of Oriental Philosophy" had been published in two languages- Azerbaijani and Russian since 1997 till 2019. Summaries of articles had been published in Azerbaijani, Russian, English, Turkish, German, French, Arabic, Persian once a year. Taking into consideration the topicality of the journal and being wide geography of the articles they published in the scientific-theoretical journal titled "Problems of Oriental Philosophy ", the editorial board has decided to publish in the language provided by the authors of the articles, the summaries of the articles in Azerbaijani, Russian, English twice a year since 2019. The editor-in-chief of the journal is Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Ilham Mammadzada and the deputy Editor - in - Chief is Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Ali Abasov since 2021. Taking into account the political, scientific, sociological and digital developments taking place in the world the journal has expanded its subject area. In addition to the history of philosophy, it also covers areas such as artificial intelligence, philosophy of law, applied philosophy, philosophy of science and epistemology, philosophy of cognition, social philosophy and sociology.
