Abstract

The article discusses the methodology of studying the interaction between Eastern and West-ern cultures. First of all, we note that there is a wide range of philosophical literature devoted to the content and structure of methods and methodology. In modern historical research, methodology is a set of methods formed on the basis of knowledge of reality. According to A.P. Sheptulin, method is a set of rules and requirements formed on the basis of knowledge about reality, its laws of knowledge and requirements.
