Mustafa Ruhi Shirin as A New Stage in Turkish Children's Literature

Abstract

Mustafa Ruhi Shirin attracts attention with his works in the field of children's literature, which include poems, stories and letters for children. He thought about the history and development of children's literature, tried to formulate its theory, and defined a method. Publishing his research and experiences as a book, Mustafa Ruhi Shirin applied his ideas to children's books. In the introduction of the article, a brief excursion into the history of Turkish children's literature is made, and the life, activities, and creativity of Mustafa Ruhi Shiri are studied.
