Abstract

Since the Cold War, there have been significant changes in Turkey's foreign policy. With the end of bipolarity, the processes taking place in the world and in the region have influenced the formation of foreign policy, containing both new perspectives and new risks and problems for Turkey. During this period, traditional approaches and directions were evaluated, and new directions were developed. Also, since the beginning of the XXI century, as in all fields, there have been important changes in the sphere of foreign policy. Active, dynamic, and multi-directional foreign policy has been implemented. Turkey has developed foreign policy tools and mechanisms to implement a multi-faceted and multi-directional foreign policy, has an effective position in international organizations to strengthen foreign policy, activation of existing foreign policy institutions and the creation of new institutions that will strengthen foreign policy, potential socio-cultural power reflection on foreign policy, and has tried to make maximum use of the advantages of geostrategic position. As a result of its successful foreign policy, Turkey has developed relations with both regional and global actors and has become one of the most important actors in international relations.
