Abstract

The issue of identifying the historical origins of the confessional relationship of the Caucasian Albanians with the Eastare researched in the presentedarticle.Medieval sources gives information about the missionary activities of a number of apostles and their disciples in Albania, about the pil-grimage of the Caucasian Albanians to Jerusalem during the 5th–13th centuries, the acquisition of many holy relics from there and the construction of Albanian Christian churches in Jerusalem.The authoralso points to the revival in Azerbaijan in the modern period of the Albanian heritage as a historical and ethno-cultural heritage of the country.
