Abstract

One of the important genres of the world literature as well as that of Turkish is novel. This genre has its own creation and development history. Its appearance and dissemination are the result of the influence of European literature. The story of the novel genre was written in “Bozkurtlar” as a “Great Story” to separate it from the main work. But as the novel genre widely developed it began to separate from stories.
Turkism is one of the most widely used issues in Turkey’s artistic prose. Some writers wrote historical novels on this subject, including Hüseyin Nihal Atsız. He became famous as a journalist, poet, and literary historian and as a founder of historical novel. In his works, the writer tried to re-flect the history of the Turks more than ever before. In this respect his two-part historical novel “Bozkurtlar” is more typical. In this work, the author’s purpose was to revive the survival and struggle of ancient Turks with a thousand-year history in the artistic prose. This theme has been expressed in the novel by artistic features enriching the idea content of the work. The article is de-voted to the interpretation of the artistic contradictions in the novel “Bozkurtlar”.
