Abstract

Mustafa Kutlu, who began his creative activity in 1970, has a special place in Turkish story writing. He created a new and different method of narration in his story writing, combining modern and traditional methods altogether. Kutlu, who is known as a living school, has published more than 20 story books so far. Numerous researchers have examined these stories in various eras on the basis of the narration technique, style, and plot. Moreover, the classifications of his stories haven’t differed greatly. The story of “Zafer yahut Hiç” (“Victory or Nothing”) belongs to the last stage which begins with the book "The Long Story,” in 2000. The story, which reflected a general feature of the century, has been analyzed from the perspective of theme, character, time, setting, and view point.
